Also having trouble with IO26 and new imac I was using my IO 26 with my old macbook (OS10.4) for the past 3(?) years with no trouble, but now I can't get it to work with my new quadcore imac. I installed the new drivers, and I get the yellow/orange light that shows a firewire connection, but audio does not flow to/from the computer. There are driver problems (search DICEII), and for me at least WDM didn't give me full access to all the, uh, i o. But try renaming your drivers and check 'use friendly driver names' - things like 'Analog 1+2' or 'Alesis In L+R' - it may make it easier to decipher what you're actually selecting when you setup your inputs.

I don’t even know where it lives. I couldn’t get any levels on the unit when it was plugged into my lap top. It just doesn’t show up at all.
