I am in need of some help.
I am trying to capture some video footage of my children growing up from a 8mm 1990's video camera and convert it to something I can share with my children on my MAC.
I have been in touch with the customer support team for this product because I can't get my Mac to recognise the video capture device.
I have tried it on 2 different Macs (one using Mac os Catalina and one using Mac os Mohave) but still no joy.
The help desk pointed me in this direction (OBS) and said that using this software I will be able to 'set the video and audio drivers as product drivers !!!
I have absolutely no idea how do do this and wonder if someone could help me to get this done.
At the moment i have the software installed so that I have the editing screen on my computer, the audio bar is moving which I would guess is picking it up from the mic on my mac but the only option in the sources drop down box is for the inbuilt Mac FaceTime camera.
I hope this makes sense to someone and would appreciate any help in getting this done.

The software that comes with it (Arcsoft Showbiz) is completely unusable as Wine have a hard time doing the installation properly on a Mac. Although there's another one included named MASSTER AVCAP. It works somewhat ok but the thing is the sound is always peaking in the red. Once you download and unpack the.rar file (about 187mb), look inside the ‘Mac’ folder and double click the ‘Masster AVCap 1.0.12’ package to install the software. Then, simply connect the USB cable to your Mac and launch the Masster AVCap application. To start capturing video, you’ll first need to save a few settings in the software: 1. DIGITNOW Video Capture BR117 Well presented and packaged USB 2.0 HD AV Grabber. All components supplied to transfer video to digital format including CD with driver and application software, scart connector and RCA cable. Apr 22, 2017 I dont have the CD anymore just the device. I never needed the CD as I used windows 7 and virtualdub as my capture software. Now I updated to windows 10 and decided that I needed to use the device. I plug the device in and as many people with Windows 10 are reporting the driver.

The CD software included doesn’t work, i had to google and it was very hard and confusing to find out since the USB is named as “Video Capture-Dvd Maker” the Manual named “DIGITNOW” the product box named “VIDEO CAPTURE” & “VIDEO CAPTURE ANALOG” I wouldn’t find such a software.
